About the Artist:
I have been freelancing as a graphic artist since my time at university where I graduated in 2001. During 2002 I travelled to Indonesia, Malaysia and Australia. Since returning to Cape Town I have been working as an illustrator and graphic designer for both web and print. Currently employed as a graphic artist for a clothing manufacturer.
I enjoy working in a variety of mediums whether it is small-scale comics to large paintings and anything in-between. Some of my clients include New Africa Books, Platinum Group, University of Cape Town and Amped surfing magazine.
My work has been exhibited at the AVA, VEO and Hout Bay Gallery. Nominated in the Vodacom performance awards in ‘best artistic category’ and part of the Wavescape Surf Art exhibition 2005.
Henry Fuckit posed a unique challenge for me trying to depict the strange world of Henry in a series of images. But once the style of illustrations was created the rest of the process was relatively spontaneous and intuitive, both in style and depiction.
